Alpha

Faith is a tricky thing. It’s not as though faith develops automatically – as if it’s a natural thing. Faith’s not natural and as a result it’s a process of fits and stops. Many times it seems as if faith is going in the wrong direction, and sometimes it actually is. But despite the fits and stops and the occasional misdirection, faith always seems to progress.

In many way faith development and software development are similar. Both are filled with pitfalls, misdirection and miscommunication. But, if you listen the direction over time becomes clear and faith or software becomes better.

The goal is to move our faith from an alpha stage, where it’s mostly an idea and more mistakes (bugs?) than successes to a beta stage where bugs are rare and hopefully to a fully formed release stage.

Will you join me on this journey to discover the path through the beta stage of faith?
